James Albert Long (Bert was his nickname) married Elsie Halbert around 1899 in Crawford Co.,Mo. Census shows the following children: Wm. Floyd born ca. 1900 and dies young, Claud M. born around 1901=1902, Myrtle born about 1905, and Raymond E. born ca. 1908-all in Crawford Co. Census shows this family lived in Merramac Township.
