Hello, Can anyone please tell me how to get an obituary from Crawford Co.? Can I send some money to the library and get one? I am trying to find some living descendants of my 4th g-grandparents, Catherine GILMORE and William FERGUSON, who married 28 Oct 1793 in Albemarle Co., VA. Three of their children moved to Crawford Co., MO: Elizabeth FERGUSON MERRITT RICHEY, Obadiah FERGUSON, and Rev. William G. FERGUSON. I found Anna and John R. FERGUSON in the 1920 Crawford Co. census, Courtois Township, and it showed they had 3 sons: Jewel M., 8 Joseph D., 6 Clarence H., 2 years 9 months. I found Clarence L. Ferguson in the SSDI, born 2 Nov 1918, died 13 Jul 1997 in Steelville, Crawford Co., MO. I couldn't find Jewel or Joseph in the SSDI. I am hoping to find an obituary for Clarence, and I am also hoping he was the son of Anna and John R. Ferguson. John R. was the son of Mary Osburn and Simeon Ferguson, and Simeon was the son of Elizabeth Atwood and Rev. William G. Ferguson. If anyone can help me with how to get this obituary, I will be so grateful. Also, if anyone knows anything about these Ferguson families, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you.
