    1. Crawford County Photo Album
    2. Joe L. Miller
    3. I have redone the Crawford County Photo Album page (finally). Thanks to those who have contributed. I no longer have control over the GenConnect Board for Crawford County, so will not be using it to post the bio's for the photo's, nor do the links to the photo's work any longer, therefore if you have any bio, please send them directly to me to be posted along with the photo, and I will create a family page. Also if you have a photo and would like to send more information or update what is online, send them as well. Some photo's do not have a bio and I would like to have one for each photo. As for the GenConnect Board, I lost control when Rootsweb redid their board system and gave control over to someone else after my system went down and I could not reply to their email in ample time, so they assumed it was abandoned. The structure they created in the new boards made the links to the bios no longer work. They have refused to answer my email concerning the boards, so I have delinked the links to the photo's. You can contact the board administrator if you want the links corrected to any photo's. Thanks for your time and patience. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mocrawfo/cralbum.htm -- Joe L. Nativity of mother Mary Eliza (HANSELL) THORNHILL is incorrect because Henry Hansel/Hansell was born in abt. 1805 in what was then Lincoln County, NC and Susan A. (PRATT) HANSELL was born August 1822 in Greene County, TN. This is a question about which Mary Eliza never before erred. This suggests that she was not physically or mentally present. Since the son was the enumerator, I presume he assumed that the information for Mary Eliza was the same as for his father William J. Thornhill. This is from the SSDI is likely Kathryn above. 1. SOLOMON, GARRETT, ROBERTS, GEORGE LINES
    2. david george
    3. I am seeking the birth place of my Great Grand Father, William D. George, born March 1849 Missouri. According to census records his Father was born in KY and Mother in MO. I know nothing of him until his arrival in TX some time prior to 1879. I understand he was a cattle hand, worked on the Moss Ranch in Llano Co. TX, fought Indians in Llano and Gillespie Co. TX, in the battle of Pack Saddle Hill. William married Henrietta (Ettie) Solomon b 1861 Coffee Co., GA on 9/18/79 in Gillespie Co., TX. Ettie was the daughter of Godwin and Mary Jane (Roberts)Solomon. The George family had four children. Their first (my grandfather) William Lawrence George b July 21, 1880 m Mary Adaline Garrett b 1887 Albert, TX. Euphamia (DAU) b Mar 1882 Enock E. (SON) b Aug 1885 Francis C. (DAU) b Apr 1887 William was widowed prior to 1900 and by 1910 he had moved to Willow City (Gillespie Co) TX. There he owned and operated a general store until it's destruction by fire. William does not appear on 1920 census, no death cert is available at state or county levels. I have and am researching MO census but have found so many William D's that, well, you can't see the forest for the trees. I am completely open to any suggestions or references, any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the block wall to bet all walls. Any one researching these lines or believing they may be related is encouraged to reply. DWG __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1. New Virus, not from me.
    2. Joe L. Miller
    3. There are many new virus' running around and I am not going to attempt to list them here. I do want to say I have gotten some messages recently to the effect that I have sent a virus to others, which is not true. If you get a message from me with an attachment, I will explain exactly what it is in the message and it normally pertains to genealogy. I do not send greeting cards or junk mail. If there is no message that explains what the attachment is, it is likely not from me. The new Klez viruses finds email addresses on the internet and uses it as it's return address and sends itself to other email addresses it finds. Penny Harrell was on such recipient. She was the submitter of many bio's if her name sounds familiar. The klez virus reportedly disables virus software (a rumor) and I have as well searched my computer for virus signs which came up clean in all respects. Sorry for the off-topic, I just wanted all lister's to be aware I am not using the list addresses to send viruses. -- Joe L. 3. Dear Emma and the list members of Crawford Co, MO, Emma, thank you for your kind note. What happen to get me all upset, did not happen ON the list, but OFF the list by another list member (as it turned out they was on the Gasconade County list). That list subscriber has since apologized sincerely for their mistake, but even though I did not violate the laws of rootsweb, I have subsequently been removed from that list. By whom? Who knows. Shows what life is all about, girls. I hope all the ladies out there never experience what I have, and that if it does, you will be treated with more fairness and understanding. All day, 7 great speakers, lots of book vendors, lunch, etc. We are trying to get the societies around us to join with us, bring their books, publications and have a booth to sell them in. And spend the day with us. We are getting good response, we believe this is the first one in this area to be done.
