I'd love to correspond with any descendants of the FERGUSON family who moved there around 1830 - Obadiah Ferguson, and his younger brother, Rev. William G. Ferguson moved there between 1850 and 1860. Their sister, Elizabeth Ferguson Merritt Richey also moved there. Another sister (my ancestor) Frances G. Ferguson SPILMAN, moved to Hickory Co., MO. All of these folks came from Allen Co., KY, and their parents, Catherine GILMORE and William FERGUSON, married 28 Oct 1783 in Albemarle Co., VA. I have found a descendant of Rev. William G. Ferguson who is going to participate in the Ferguson family DNA study and I can hardly wait to get the results. If anyone has any information on any of these folks, I'd love to hear from you. Hi, list members I am trying to find out when my ggrandmother passed away. I have been told that it was in Mo. in 1923 in Crawford Co. I haven't had any luck finding anything. Would anyone help with this. Her name was Nancy Ann (Jackson) DeLay. She was married in 1874 in Crawford Co. Later moved to Howell Co., Mo. After 1900 she and her family moved to Okla. She, from what I was told, went back to Mo. after the death of her husband in 1921, to be with her Jackson family. Any help would be very welcomed. Gracie in Okla.

Dear Group, Since I sent this last message (below) I ran accross this on a Anne C Vaughn the wife of Raymond D Vaughn son of James Thomas Vaughn listed below. I would love to find any of the family members in this obit and share family history with them. I anyone is related or know of these people please let them know and let me know aswell. Obit for Anne C. Vaughn Anne C. Vaughn was the daughter of the late Charles Gordon Chapman and his wife, Mary M., nee Adams. Born on March 3, 1892 at Cuba Mo,. and departing this life on Sept 7, 1988, she reached the age of 96 years, six months and four days. She was reared in the area where she was born. In 1914 she was united in holy matrimony to Raymond D. Vaughn. Following their marriage they resid- ed in Cuba. Later she came to the Leslie area to make her home. She was baptized in the Christian faith and was a faithful member of the Antioch Christian Church for many years. Preceding in death were a son, William Vaughn; a brother, Joseph Chapman; a sister, Blanche Gielber and a sister-in-law, Mary Chapman. Surviving are two daughters, Gwendolyn Bauer of Leslie and Mar- jorie Bleckman and husband Clarence of Leslie; three sons, Ray- mond C. Vaughn and wife Mildred of Green Valley, Arizona; Roger C. Vaughn and wife, Mary Frances of Jamestown, Rhode Island, and Douglas G. Vaughn and wife Delma, of Cuba, Mo.; two brothers, Floyd Chapman and wife, Agnes, of Bourbon and Noel Chapman and wife, Martha, of Cuba; a brother-in-law, Marvin Giebler of Gerald; 19 grand- children; 29 great grandchildren and two great, great grand children, other relatives and many friends.
