no date on newspaper clipping Mrs. Nivens Dies: Services Sunday California (Special) – Mrs. Mary Effie Nivens, 77, died early Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fern Hunziker, Jefferson City. She had suffered a broken hip 15 months ago. Born July 24, 1881, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Shannon. On April 7, 1909, she married Isaac Nivens, who died last Monday. In addition to Mrs. Hunziker survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Fay Schenewerk, Centertown; four sons, Martin, Earl and Carl Nivens, Jefferson City; and Norman Nivens, Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Lela McKee, Centertown; and Mrs. Maggie Bruce, Jamestown; one brother, David Shannon, Marion; and 13 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Christian Church. Burial will be in the old Marion cemetery.
