no date on newspaper clipping Mrs. A. B. Bruce of Lupus Dies services set for 2 p.m. Thursday Bruce, died Tuesday Aug. 6 at 4:45 p.m. at the Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. She had been a patient there since Friday. She had been in poor health for some time but death came unexpectedly. She was born Dec. 8, 1883 near Marion a daughter of James Dodd Shannon and Nancy Sartain Shannon. On Dec. 9, 1905 she was married to Alfred B. Bruce. He survives. The couple had spent their entire 57 years on their farm near Lupus. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. J. B. Garrett, Boonville, a son R. S. Bruce, Lupus, two grandchildren, Robert S. Bruce, Centertown and Mrs. James Martin, Jamestown; two great- grandchildren and a brother, David Shannon, Marion. Mrs. Bruce was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church and a charter member of the Lupus Rebekah Lodge. Funeral services will be conducted a 2 o’clock Thursday at the Williams Chapel Officiating will be Rev. George W. Barger, pastor of the First Christian Church, Boonville and Rev. Norman Hill, pastor of the Methodist Church, Prairie Home. Burial will be in the California City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul McKee, Hubert Shannon, Henry Roll, Earl and Carl Nevins and James Lee McKee.
