    3. The Russellville Rustler, Friday February 9, 1912 Captain Joseph A. Dearing who was a captain on steamboats on the Missouri River between here and St. Louis, died at his home near Tebbetts. He suffered a stroke of paralysis which proved fatal. He was seventy years of age and until a few years ago he resided in this city when he returned to his farm to spend the remainder of his days. He was one of the best known men in Central Missouri and had a host of friends.
