Jim: I am now writing a book that details the lives of the Rakers/Rackers from the time they came to the United States until the last generation that died. No living people in this book, but it will detail to some degree all who lived earlier. The name was originally Rakers, the first instance I can find that the letter "c" was added is in an 1879 pew rental book from St. Peter Church in Jefferson City. The ones in Illinois have never added the letter "c" to their name. Bob

I am looking for my Dawson family that lived in Missouri. I have a picture of a George Dawson that was taken in Bonne Terre & Flat River, Missouri. Alice Dawson taken in St. Louis Dick Dawson no place taken, but with a small girl. Adeline Susan Dawson Williams was my Great Grandmother. She lived in Willow Springs, Howell Co., Missouri with my Great Grandfather, Joseph (Josiah) Hardin Williams. Adeline (Susan) Dawson Williams parents were Enoch Asbury Dawson and Jane Morris Dawson. Enoch's father was William Dawson, wife Mary Bailey and William's father was George Dawson. I have a lot of tintype pictures that were left to my father by his Aunt Lena Williams, daughter of Susan Dawson Williams. I recently found a family tree that had a William Dawson as a Baptist Minister in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Dawson Springs was named after him. Hope to find some connections. Tina Williams Swyers >

He was born in Muskogee Oklahoma in 1918 and died in Cupertino California in 2001. If you want more information on the other children in these marriages please email me. I am trying to trace the line beyond Jeremiah whose father was Jeremiah born in Virginia somewhere between 1785 and 1791. I haven't yet been able to find his parents. We live in Australia and it is difficult to do accurate research. Cheers Carolyn

Werner married Margareta Evers who was from Meta. They had at least 6 children. She is my 3rd cousin one time removed. Does any of this sound familiar to you?
