Thanks Becky, I just received the death certificate of Katy Delong this morning. Yes she is the daughter of Joseph deLong and Mary mayens. Thanks to Mitch. Yes I have been to the websites you list below. A wonderful website, which you may have been to is "Emslanders.com". There is a lot of good information about families around the Cole County area. Interesting note: I have never been to Miller or Cole Counties but have learned so much about them in searching my family history. I live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Grandson of Leo Looten and Pauline Sanning. Thanks Becky. I have written back and forth to Jean (P). (if this is who you are writing of) over the last few years. I am not sure Jean has any additional information than what I already have that is directly related to my ancestors DeLong. We have shared some information in the recent past. Interseting note: I have been back to her emails and found clues that were now helpfull. Any new information would be greatly appreciated. Becky, Thanks for the response. I was looking for any information that might help me trace back Joseph DeLong (Delange). Census shows Joseph was from Holland area. Benjamin Sanning was married to Katie DeLong. Katie's parents are Joeseph Delong and Mary Mayens. Mary's parents are John Maynes and Margaretha Bruns. John's parents were Georgius Franciscus Maeijens. I will note that the Maynes name started as Meaijens in Zeeland, Nederlands and was used around Cole County as Mayens, Maynes and Mains. I have quite a bit of information on the Lootens/Talken families coming from Belgium/Germany, Sanning/Bruning families coming from Germany and the Mayens coming from Zeeland. Once I have tracked Joseph DeLong back to Holland or Zeeland, I will have all my ancestors that came to America traced to their original lands. Although the census states where Joseph DeLong is from, I would like confirmation by another source. Sorry about the long note.
