    3. Thank you. I found Blanche Viola Leslie, daughter of W. S. and Mary E. Leslie in the 1900 census in Russellville. Blanche's brother, Walter, married Ada S. Hillard. They are starting to tie together. John and Rebecca (Dover) Musick were the parents of C. Musick who married Pinkney Enloe. I'm trying to ID some pictures that came with the packet and may just post them on the Cole County Historical Society Web site and see if we can get some help there. Getting the names is the beginning. Appreciate your help, Nancy T. -----Original Message----- From: mocole-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mocole-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Lew Warren I have a Blanche Viola LESLIE, b. 05 Jun 1887 at Russellville, MO, who m. It was in pretty bad shape, but we saved the birth/death/marriage pages that contained the last names of Hillard and Leslie. Tucked into the pages of the bible were some pictures (one tintype) and several locks of hair. One long lock of hair was wrapped in a piece of paper that noted "John D. Musick of Cole County was born 11 December 1841 and married Marinda Simpson in 1866. He would not be old enough to be the father of John D. John Henry Musick of Miller County 1881-1954. Hillard and Leslie are both last names of families from the Russellville area. They also have ties to the Enloe and (I suspect) Musick families from Russellville and Miller County. I didn't bring everything home with me but do have this: An undated obituary for William Starks Leslie says "he was born near where he died on May 23, 1852, and was therefore 51 years of age." My guess is that puts his death and this obit around 1903. He was the son of Andrew J. Leslie. He married Ella Groom. Their children were Amanda (Steffens), Byron Leslie, Walter, Jack, Blanche, Clara Another article says Ada Hillard married Walter L. Leslie. "Luther Elsworth Hillard was bornd the 14 of February 1890 and dide the first of August 1890. Luther Elsworth Hillard was the sun of J.H. and Mary Jane Hillard". "George S. Hillard dide June 19, 1892. William Alonzo Hillard dide February the 7 A.D. 1889. William Alonzo Hillard was born the 19 of June 1887. Age one year and 7 months and 19 days. Sun of J. H. and M. J. Hillard." Can anyone provide me with more information on these families? Nancy T. Nancy

    3. At the Cole County Historical Society we what I believe is a full set of directories for Jefferson City and I don't think that they go back that far. I checked a book I have of Cole County Marriages and found Mrs. Nannie J. Stafford married Peter J. Comby 1 April 1869. So there was at least one Stafford in Cole County at that time.
