I might add that in the 1870 census we find Joseph with the Knox family as a hired hand but a few households before in that census we find the Honssinger family which contains Virginia (Salmon) the spouse who is a sister to Mary Jane Salmon so probably he was with or near his maternal aunt in 1870. Our cousin Dottie (Harriet Craddock) of Kansas City died a few weeks ago. Her brother's George (Ft. Washington, MD) and Harry (KCMO) and their wives came to visit my mother in Topeka. I live in Quincy, Massachusetts, but am home visiting my mother for a few weeks. Yesterday, we spent the day in Weston, MO shopping, researching at the museum, and visiting family graves at Laurel Hill Cemetery. I am the great granddaughter of Robert [Bob] and Melinda [Linnie] Jane Walker who where married in Caldwell Co., Missouri in 1880. They had four children: Nevada Etta, Sylvia Retta, Aaron Moses and Effie. I am not sure if Effie was the oldest or the youngest. Since the 1890 census was destroyed, I have lost Robert and Melinda. Nevada Etta is my grandmother and Sylvia Retta her sister, I know what happened to them. I know also what happened to Aaron but the family lost touch with Effie. The relatives in Missouri were the Sanderson, Gilbow, Griffings, Nicholson, Gibbons and Walker. If anyone has any information about them I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

I am researching our Sullivan family Line. They lived in the Missouri area from the 1850s through the turn of the century. We are not sure of the eldest parents names but understand that they passed away sometime during the Civil War in the Pest House near Ironton, Missouri. We were also told that this "Pest House" was later referred to as the "Poor Farm". They had several children that were taken in by various family and area people following their parent's death from the Small Pox. Two of the children were William Victor Sullivan (born in Dec 1859) and his brother, John L. Sullivan (born in August 1856). We believe there were two sisters, N.Nancy and Elizabeth (Lizzie). We believe there may have been others but can't be sure. William was reportedly born in Liberty, Iron County, Missouri and in all likliness, so were his siblings. We would love to know more about the family should anyone know. William Victor Sullivan married Etta Ca! roline Braswell, Lizzie married Nathan Oneal. A small note that a cousin has shared has some information written on it that, "the Sullivans were buried near the "Ivester Farm". We are not sure if there may be a cemetery there somewhere or that they were buried on what is now "private property". We would love to discover the whereabouts of their final resting place.
