Eliza Kinyon DeVaul who m. Philip C. DeVaul in Ray County died in St. Clair Co MO and her death certificate states "J" Kinyon as her father. Philip DeVauls bio in the History of Grundy County, states she was the daughter of Joseph Kinyon of Clinton County. Joseph m. Sallie in 1844, Eliza was born 1838! Eliza was living with a Metcalf family in Ray Co in 1850. There were several other Kinyon children(various spellings) in other families in the county. Are they the children living with Elizabeth Kinion in Ray county in 1840? If anyone can shed some light on this, Please do! These are not my direct family members so I have little to offer in exchange. I don't know about others, but I don't tend to bother reading queries with subject lines that say things like "My Beechner Family" or My Grandma Beechner" so I was more specific than that. Is this your family? Thanks so much. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have the Pierson genealogy you passed on to Betty Kinyon (I'm married to her daughter) and you have since found, as I have, that Martha Ellen's parents were James Creason and Rachel Beller. William Oliver Creason is NOT her father. THe family is in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census. Not sure where the William Oliver credit came from, but the name was passed on down Martha Ellen's line, poss because he was a family hero, if he was the same William Oliver, one-armed ex confederate soldier murdered after the war. It is interesting that Jefferson had a Nancy E. born about the same time as my wife's Ann Elizabeth. Maybe they are the same person. I have been noting my wife's autosomal DNA matches that have a PRYOR line. Unfortunately, AncestryDNA isn't showing segment data yet, so I can't tell which of her matches at Ancestry DNA with PRYOR lines share the same segment. She does have a match at 23andMe who has a PRYOR ancestor, but that match doesn't have any details on his PRYOR line. If AncestryDNA starts providing segment information it will be interesting to see what pattern emerges. Regards, Larry Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. According to the 1880 U.S. Census of Lonoke Co., AR, Annie's son Eddie was eight years old (born about 1872). Census information can be way off, so perhaps the Edward you found below is Annie's son. I will do some checking. I believe the William CARTER you found is the correct one. William was married twice, and a son from the second marriage is in the cemetery. Like you, I had also wondered about Jefferson PRYOR and his children. I wonder if Annie fell through the crack in the census recording. Your Annie is very elusive. I check other spellings as well pryer, bryer, bryor.. anyway, here is all I can find in the time I have today. Probably of no use whatsoever, but didn't want to just throw it away, just in case... FOUND ON ANCESTRY.COM and/or FINDAGRAVE.COM 1) William Carter 1857-1931 buried in Hamilton Cemetery, Carlisle, Lonoke Co AR, but no Annie there with him. 2) Edward Brinkley 1878-12 May 1904 (England Camp 37), if this is her son by Eddie Brinkley, she would have been pregnant with him when she married Carter. Unlikely? 3) I can only find one PRYOR family having children in the Plattsburg area around 1851. Jefferson Pryor (1804 VA - 1880 Clinton Co MO). His first marriage to Martha Elizabeth Irvine produced 2 daughters in Clinton Co MO, Josephine and Martha J, 1828? and 1829? Then his second marriage to Rebecca J Howell produced 2 more daughters Nancy E 1851 and Lucy E 1854, but no trace of an Ann on the census. Sorry, sometimes I hit gold, but not today :( Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Robert and Melinda are my great grandparents. They were married in Caldwell County, Missouri in 1880. They lived in and around Liberty and/or Lathrop, Missouri. They had four children: Nevada Etta [my grandmother], Sylvia Retta, Effie, and Aaron Moses Walker. I found Nevada Etta, Sylvia Retta, and Aaron in the 1900 census but not Effie. The children I found were living as logers/boarders and/or with relatives. I am looking for Robert and Melinda. Where they are buried and where/how they died. Robert Martin Walker born 1860 MO [aka Bob] Melinda Jane Gilbow Walker born 1854 [aka Lennie] Parents: Jon Paul Gilbo, Gilbow born 1822/1818 French/Canada or France and Mary Ann Sanderson born MO children: Nevada Etta Walker Bales born 1882 or 1884 Sylvia Retta Walker Roach born 1882 or 1884 Aaron Moses born 1886 Effie Walker born 1881 or ?
