I just happened to see the Swearingen name in your post and was wondering if you might know of a LeeAnn Swearingen (b. July 29, 1855 d. Aug. 31, 1929) who married Marcus Lindsay Bogart (b. Feb. 14, 1856 d. June 23, 1919). I have that LeeAnn was born in Clinton Co., MO. I don't have any information on who her parents were or if LeeAnn and Marcus had any children or not. I got a picture of Zerilda's headstone since is next to some of my family, and thought it might answer your question about the date of death. It was a long shot of the back door of the Church and it's not as clear as it could have been, but it still looks like 1867. Author: MamaGriff Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.clinton/27.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Could you tell me about Josiah McKee and Martha Amanda? I picked up Martha Amanda "Maude" in the 1910 census. She is 70 years old, making her birth year about 1840. She is living with her sons, Charlie, Edd, and James. She lives near her son, Wm. Robert McKee and his family. She is with Edd and his family in 1920 still in Garvin Co. and then passed away on Nov. 27, 1920. I just began working on the McKees of Garvin Co., hoping that they may be of my husband's Griffin line. His aunt is Mary McKee, but I have yet to meet with her. I have Wm Robert McKee born in 1863 in Clinton Co., Mo. He was called "Bob". He married Mary Elizabeth Fletcher before 1894 when their first son, James Andres, was born. Other children were: Clara, George, Manda, Barbara, Charley, and Anna. However, I read that there were 8 children. Do you know who the 8th child is? Robert married a Mrs. M. J. Charles on 18 June 1910 in Garvin Co., Oklahoma. He then married Rhoda Fletcher (Mrs. Thomas Jasper Fletcher) on 20 Aug 1915 in Garvin Co. In the 1920 census he is a widow. I have yet to find the 2nd and 3rd wives. Robert is buried with his first wife in Katie Cemetery. It looks as if Maude and Josiah met and married in Texas, moved to Texas abt 1883 and on to Oklahoma in 1900. I assume he died in Texas prior to 1900??? Any information you all have would be greatly appreciated! Jane Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
