Where you now? I have wanted to go to MO and do some research but haven't made it yet. My husband is still working. I believe the Sanderson family still has members living there. They would be my ggggrandmothers side. I sure wished I could connect with my side of the Walkers. I know that my grandmother Nevada Etta Walker Bales' brother had several children. I believe they live in that area now. I live in Savannah, Missouri in North Wet Missouri 60 miles other of Kansas city, MO. and 11 miles north of St. Joseph, Mo. I know some Walkers,Vallen J. Walker. He now lives in Oregon state but we've been friends since were teenagers. I have Linden B. Walker in my data base. I meant to check and didn't yet but I have a family genealogy web site and we have what we call " Roll Call" there. We list all the sir names we have in our data bases so all members can look at a glance what sir names we are searching for. I have found 12 sir names I've been looking for in the past week thru the "Roll Call" listing. If you 'd like I can send u an invite. You may be surprised how many names one of us has that you also have. It takes a time to make your database but helpsa lotmaking connection that opens up ton's of clues to u for your own data base. You know years ago parents use to name there children after there home towns. I'm wondering if maybe you may find some clues in Nevada, Missouri that may help in your research. I see you said your grandmothers first name is Nevada. I have a way back great grand aunt that's first name was Missouri. she was named that because her family came to Missouri for a new start from the east coast. this was there way of honoring there new home state. my great grandmother's middle name was Theodosia after the town closest to area where she was born. Theodosia, Missouri. I have a friend that named her children by combining parts of her name and husbands name and grandparents names...Made some strange hard to pronounce names but so very unique to honor then all and not leave anyone out. My grand kids ( youngest boy's kids) are named sort of like that. Michael Alan-Tyre Marsh was names Michael after my daughter in laws brother, Alan was after his dad and Tyre was after my oldest son and grandfather, Clarissa Star- Marie Clarissa after and Aunt, Star is her Chippewa name after the first thing my daughter in law saw when she was born and Marie after my sister and grandmother. Natasha Cloetta-Tehya Natasha after great great grandmother, Cloetta after my mother and Tehya is her Cherokee name meaning beautiful Just thought u might find that interesting trivia.. Lil now I got a question, are Donnie or is that your husband? and where do you live? I know u have told me but I've forgotten..that old CRS disease again lol Ann Kerns- Marsh Where you now?
