Samuel was working as a farm laborer on the George "Vestle" Dimit farm in Poweshiek County (near Grinnell) Iowa in the 1914 - 1917 time frame. He told the Dimit's he had "come up from Missouri" to work. Best guess at his birth year is 1890 ... plus or minus a couple years. Do not know his place of birth or his parents name. Do not know where he went after he left he Dimit farm, although he did return to visit them occasionally in later years. Any assist greatly appreciated. Craig Nelson cengold@aol.com
