Surnames: Field Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hMB.2ACI/880 Message Board Post: I would like to identify Mary Elizabeth (Field(s)?) to accompany a postcard send from Clarksville Arkansas to Liberty Missouri in 1909. Mary Elizabeth may be married at the time of this card, as I could not find a 1900 match in the Liberty (Clay Co.) census. It is unclear if the family last name is Field or Fields. The family would seem, from the hits on J.E. Field(s), to be from Liberty, Clay Co., MO. There were three towns named Liberty, but this seems to be the only one that had a post office. Postmarked Oct 20 1909, Clarksville, Ark. Photograph, with title line: #3756, Street Scene, Clarksville Ark. In the picture, there are wagons with bales of cotton passing in front of the May Brothers Store. There appears to be a church to the left of the store, possibly a street between them. Card dated Oct. 19, 1909 Addressed to: Mrs. J. E. Field(s) 109 Morse Ave., Liberty, Missouri Dear Mama, Received dress this (Tuesday) afternoon. I think it is beautiful. What's the matter with my letters from home - it's been a week tomorrow since I got a letter. Will not write to-morrow unless I hear as there is nothing new. We see such sights as this every day. Love from Mary Elizabeth
