There is an old road that is now partially closed called Hughes Road. It used to connect Liberty with Minneville & Birmingham. Does anybody know anything about the history of this road or this rural area? I'm wondering if the road was named after Daniel Hughes, who was one of the early big wigs in Clay County history.
