    1. Re: [MOCLAY] Re: Harris research in Clay County, MO
    2. I have never been able to find anything out about my great grandmother Amanda Harris. She married William Newton Russell and their son (my grandfather) was born in Morristown, Tennessee on January 5, 1865. I would appreciate receiving any information anyone might have on either of them.

I only know the year of his death, and not the day or month. And I can only speculate the location of his death. Additionally, I don't know his parents names. All these bits of information are requested on the application for a death certificate. I don't know how likely I can actually get one with such limited info. Any comments/suggestions?

    1. George Hughes in Clay County 1889
    2. List, I am attempting to track down a great-great uncle named George Hughes. The facts I have are relatively sparse, which include the following: George Hughes was born in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania about 1846, the son of B.W. (Bushrod Washington) Hughes and his first wife Anna Maria Merlin. Anna died in PA in January 1852. B.W. remarried in September 1852. In 1857 the family relocated to Naperville Township, DuPage County, Illinois. In George's father's probate file dated 1889 there is a power-of-attorney letter showing George Hughes was living in Linden Township, Clay County, MO, This is the last trace I can find of him. I have no idea if he was married, his wife's name if he was, if he had children, or when he died. Any assistance, ideas, leads, etc. in filling in this empty branch on my tree would be greatly appreciated. Mike Johnston Oswego, IL
