Peggy: I have Wilsons from Clark Co., Mo. - I don't know that it is from the Athens area, however. I know some were in Chambersburg area. I don't have any of the names you mentioned in with my Wilsons, but I have a lot of gaps in my information. Andrew Jackson Wilson b. 1815 in PA. According to "A History of Clark Co., Mo." he moved to Clark Co. in 1846. His children were: - Taylor Wilson 1847-1848 - George Washington Wilson 1849-1936. I have more information on him giving his wife and children if needed. - Mary Ann Wilson b. 1850 - *William Glasgow Wilson b. 1853, (he is my ancestor), m. Union Josephine Pherigo - Henry Clay Wilson 1855-1927 - Marrian Malisa Wilson b. 1857 - Andrew Jackson Wilson b. 1860 - Eliza Jane Wilson 1862-1881 - Ulysses S. Grant Wilson 1864-1889, m. Louisa Melvina Pherigo - Robert Benjamin Franklin Wilson b. 1867 - John Barnes Wilson 1870-1932 - (I have been given further info. on this family also if wanted.) His children were born elsewhere than Clark Co. - Erastus Wilson 1873 or 1875 -1958. His children were also born out of Clark Co. so won't include those here. *William Glasgow Wilson's children: Viola W. Wilson, Alice Wilson, Nora Wilson, Clarence Oliver Wilson, Florence Wilson, Celia May Wilson, Jewell Wilson. Most of them were born in Clark County but moved away. There was another Wilson mentioned in the book: In 1835 Joseph G. Wilson and his father emigrated from KY, settling near the present site of the Wilson Bridge (across the Wyaconda on the Kahoka and Fairmont Road). The short writeup doesn't mention Athens, or the names you show, either. Just last week, we visited the Wilson Cemetery to try to find a Wilson gravestone, and there are Wilsons around there still.
