Greetings subscribers, Does anyone know where Waterloo Missouri is? Thanks. Tim Kinkeade
It is not listed in my zipcode book. It must not be a town anymore. If no one on the list can help you, see if there is a book of abandoned towns and post offices for Missouri. Iowa has one that is really helpful. It is also possible that the GenWeb site might have one. Again, I believe the Iowa GenWeb site has a listing of abandoned towns. Waterloo was in Madison Township, east and north of Kahoka. It was located in the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 9 and on the Fox River. It was laid out as a town in 1836, but had almost disappeared by 1900. This is from "The Towns & Villages of Clark County, Missouri" by Jan Gross. Hope it helps. Barb
According to Geographic Names Information System, Waterloo is now Kahoka. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Kinkeade" <kinkeade@moscow.com> To: <MOCLARK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2000 10:42 AM Subject: [MOCLARK-L] Waterloo > > Greetings subscribers, > Does anyone know where Waterloo Missouri is? > Thanks. > Tim Kinkeade >
