I am seeking information on Roswell Shellhous who lived in Peakville during the Civil War period. He was living there in the 1860 census with wife Rosetta, son Roswell Alfred and daughters Roxanne and Amanda. He and his son ran a store in Peakville and evidently they had problems because of their beliefs on the war. Does anyone know anything about this family? They left the area around 1865 and moved to Van Buren County, IA. Amanda may have married and stayed in Clark County because she did not live with her parent's in the 1870 census in Van Buren Co, IA. Thanks so much. Glynice
