I've "rescued" an old photograph of Iris BUTCHER taken at the Harnish Studio in Albany, Oregon. The photograph was taken in the early 1900's and notes that Iris was just 18 months old when it was taken. It appears to have been a gift to "Aunt Lou". Someone has also written Grace GILL BUTCHER's child on the back of the photograph. With the help of a BUTCHER Family researcher I have been able to determine that Iris BUTCHER was born 17 Nov 1898 in Linn County, Oregon to parents Frank BUTCHER and Grace GILL who were married on 5 October 1898 in Linn County, Oregon. Frank was the son of James E. BUTCHER and Elizabeth Ann JOHNSON of Clark County, Missouri. Frank's siblings were Horace, Hellena, Thurston R., Ella, and Corbey or Cortes, and Geneva BUTCHER all born in Missouri or Oregon. Grace GILL may have been the daughter of Matthew C. GILL and his wife Nancy E. GILL. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
