Named in honor of Gov. William Clark, of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and first Governor of the Territory of Missouri proper, serving from 1813-1820. NOTE: This book was originally published in 1888. My reprint is from 1970. Information given here was from the original time period so county seats may have changed.
