Karla, Nice to meet someone else who has ancestors in Alexandria. You know, I wonder if that General Store became the small general store I knew as "Vics" when I was a little girl. My grandma gave me 10 pennies to go buy candy every day. (Yes, that would be the 1960's we're speaking of - ten pennies sure doesn't buy much candy now). I haven't finished transcribing the township yet - so maybe other relatives will show up. Hi Karla, My Name is Marvette Shuman, I've been observing your postings, My Family Came from Lewis and Clark Co., MO. I've been searching for relatives from there, I can only get back to James Shuman, I've been searching for his father and Mother. I have yet found any proof but have heard roomers that Jacob Shewman, from Ohio was his father, But am tring to find links that proof this roomer.
