Henry Bash of PA, Bourbon County KY, Jessamine County KY, Clark County MO; born 7 August 1776 PA; died 29 April 1853 Clark County MO; will dated 1 March 1844, proven 12 July 1853 Clark County MO He lived 1801-1813 Bourbon County KY; he then removed to Jessamine County KY where he lived 1814-1842; he then removed to Clark County MO where he lived 1842-1853. His wife's name is unknown. They must have married ca. 1800 and she was still alive in the 1840 census. Henry Bash's children and grandchildren intermarried with the children and grandchildren of the Rev. Rice and Sarah (Rohrer) Harris of Jessamine County KY and Clark County MO. Henry Bash's great-grandson James Bash Kennedy lived for a time with his kinsman Samuel Wheeler. They are found together in the 1870 census Logan County IL. Here comes the connection with the Wheeler and Hume families. George Fennell Wheeler (1781-1864) married 4 October 1801 Bourbon County KY: Elizabeth Proctor Hume (1782-1866). Amongst other children they had a son Amery Wheeler (1804- 1864 who married 25 December 1827 Grant County KY: Sarah Banks. Amery Wheeler clearly enjoyed close relations with the Rev. Rice Harris in both Jessamine County KY and Clark County MO. Amery Wheeler's son Samuel Banks Wheeler was the kinsman with whom James Bash Kennedy was living in Logan County IL. I'd be grateful to know whether has any clues to the precise connection between these families. It seems to me a real possibility that Henry Bash married a sister of George Fennell Wheeler or Elizabeth Proctor Hume. Does anyone know of any Bash affinities in these families or in courthouse documents? Many thanks for your help, and best wishes to you.
