I was walking the fence row and noticed an inscription on one of these rocks. As follows: Lieut. J.P.Clark Co F 1st R. 1st B Mo died Ap 22 1862 Anyone want to see if possibly finding out who this man may have been? Alot of older farmers had told my mother many years ago, that there were 3 union graves on the top of the hill. This would be in the fayettville, arkansas area. It would be great to find out who this man may have been. We have metal detected our field and found nothing. All we have is this stone.
