    3. Hi Here you go and hope it helps: 23 July 1870 Clark Co., Missouri census, Jefferson Township: MORRISON, Daniel R. 47 M W farm laborer --/250 OH #94/94 Angeline 37 F W keeps house MO Francis 18 M W works on farm IL Luella W. 15 F W IL Genetta 14 F W IL Laura M. 8 F W MO Lillie M. 8 F W MO Eddie 3 M W IL Charles 9/12 M W IL I hope that this is close to what you were looking for. The handwriting on this image was sort of hard to read. But, it appears that Francis, aged 18 is your Frank that you were looking for? Let me know if you need me to double check this image and like I said, I hope those names are close. Checking the surname of Loren? There was only one that I found in Missouri for 1870 and it was a James Loren in Montogemery Co. Not knowing Missouri geography that well - I have no idea if that is even remotely close to the Clark Co. boundaries. This James Loren is living in the Goerge Bock household (his in-laws, perhaps) and has his wife; Polly, daughters; Martha (age 4) and Jane (newborn) and a son named Thomas, aged three years. Can you think of an alternative spelling for the surname Loren? Bernie Moore-Knowles Phoenix, Arizona - Papa'aloa, Hawai'i "I have Indian blood in me. 1. [MOCLARK-L] A Great Big Thanks!
    2. Hi Group, I live in Oregon and just returned from a research trip to Missouri, and Illinois, and I know this may be a little off "what we are suppose to do on the list" but I just wanted to let people know how wonderful and how helpful some people on this list really are. One list person referred me to just the right person in St. Patrick, Missouri and I am ever so thankful as this person went out of her way two different times to meet with me and share what she could find about my Bennett family., Then this lady's son took me to cemeteries and helped me to find tombstone for about two dozen members of the Bennett family from back in the early 1800's. A special thanks to them... I also want to commend the group of ladies who volunteer at the Lewis County Historical Society in Canton, Missouri as they are very helpful, funny and their library is very well organized. If they didn't have the information there at the library they knew who to call to find out for you. Really a great group of ladies. Everyone I met were helpful and very friendly I couldn't have asked for a nicer group..... My trip was a great success thanks to the help of many, especially Mary on this list. Also Bill who is part of the Bennett/ Kaphart family and helped steer me in the right direction. Have a great Weekl! Cheryl of Oregon

    1. [MOCLARK-L] Union Cemetery - unknown graves
    2. The transcription for Union Cemetery in "Cemetery Inscriptions of Clark County, Missouri" lists two unmarked graves. The use of the word "unmarked" indicates that the author of the book used a written record to discover that there were two burials with no markers. Myself and other family researchers have been trying to discover what became of a direct ancestor whose children were born at Union. I would like to learn what the written record states about these two graves. Union Cemetery is a likely place for our ancestor to be buried. Is there a church at Union Cemetery? If so, what is the name of it and how might I make contact? Does someone have a suggestion on any other way to learn the location of this written record? I realize that writing the author of the transcription book is certainly logical and I will do so. I suppose I am hoping that someone living near Union Cemetery might notice this query. Thank you for any assistance or suggestions! >From The End of The Oregon Trail! Mitch Ryder Oregon City, Oregon

    3. Margaret: Andrew Jackson Wilson is my gggrandfather and I am so glad to find someone else researching this name! I have quite a bit of information on his descendants which I would be glad to share. From the History of Clark County, published 1991: George W. Wilson, son of Andrew Jackson, Sr., and Margarette Jane Glasgow Wilson, was born near Chambersburg, Mo., February 1849, died May 5, 1936. His parents came to Clark Co., MO., from Cambria Co., PA., around 1846. A lot of my information is from a great aunt who had quite a bit of information on the Wilsons. I have also been to Clark Co., Mo. a couple of times doing research. Your query was the first I had seen that this was Andrew J's 2nd marriage - can you tell more? Also, do you have any further information on some of the marriages you show in your query. These are new to me. And, do you have more information on A.J. in Van Buren Co. in 1894?\ Also, I would be interested in hearing how you are related, Andrew Jackson Wilson was born March 26, 1815 in Pennsylvania, and died March 11, 1899. Cambria Co., PA. Margaret Jane Glasgow was born August 15, 1827 in Pennsylvania, and died December 26, 1908, Clarinda, Page Co., Ia. I have 12 children born to them.: Taylor born August 9, 1847, d. 3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Robert Eugene MUELLER taken at the Donnelly Studio in Kahoka, Missouri. The photograph was probably taken in the 1920's or 1930's with Robert listed as 5 months and 2 days old at the time it was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from Robert's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to family. If you are a member of Robert's family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
