Good morning, I would like to know if someone on the list would be near or have access to a library whom could make a copy of the 1860 & 1870 soundex for 3 surnames I am trying to research in Missouri. The soundex is in book form and not on any film or fiche. I live in Florida and do not have access to the books and can not get them via inter library loan. I appreciate any assistance you can provide me. Thank you, Addie

I am interested in one Leo JONES who it is thought married Fay BRUNER d/o Dave & Bessie Mae RALPH BRUNER. My family has lost contact with this branch. Dave was the son of one George S. BRUNER b Nov 1861 MO who married Faetty C. KELSO. Dave and his sister Mabel Cleo GOOSEY were reared by their maternal grandparents John Wesley & Emsy PRITCHARD KELSO. Thanks for reading. I am interested in connecting one Artie Esperia EWING b 03 Feb 1875 d/o EWING & Ellen to the EWING line of Scotland County. Artie md 22 Sep 1897 one Bruce Burns COPELAND b 11 Mar 1873 MO. Artie and Bruce died 26 Mar 1960 and 26 Feb 1932, respectively, and are buried side by side in Webster Cemetery, Fabius Twp, Sec 35 T66 R14, Schuyler Co., MO. The COPELAND name is a collateral line to my WEBSTER genealogy. My cousin-in-law Vernon Bounds EWING lives in Memphis. I have not gotten to talk with him about this, Artie's maiden name EWING has only just been learned. Does anyone follow this line? Thanks for reading! According to family tradition, there is some relationship to Ellla Ewing, the giantess from Clark County who grew to more than 8 feet tall. I have an Elizabeth who married David Lawson. If Elizabeth Lawson's maiden name was Herring, she would have been a sister to Ben Ewing's wife, Anna Eliza Herring. Ben and Anna were Ella's parents. David and Elizabeth were neighbors to the Ewings in 1880, and both Anna and Elizabeth were born in Kentucky. In the 1880 census, the birth place of Elizabeth's mother is listed as Kentucky, though, while Anna's and her sister Susan's mother's birth place is listed as Virginia, so I might be barking up the wrong family tree!! Any help appreciated. Connie Street
I can't help you, but I am also looking for a connection to the Ewings. Ella, the giantess, in particular. If you find a comprehensive family history, I would love to see it. I would like to locate a professional researcher that resides in Clark County, Missouri or Keokuk, Iowa. Mitch Ryder Oregon City, Oregon
I too am interested in Morrison history... most notably the Archibald Morrison (b 1811 d.1864) family that moved to Clark County and purchased land there around 1838 (Several hunderd acres in all). In 1855 they moved to Saline County (central Missouri), my guess is over the slavery issue. Clark County land grant names associated include Archibald, William B., Robert S. Morrison and Robert C. Hays. Carl Crabtree
