Kerry, I don't know about a James Duncan born 1833 but James Duncan born 6-Nov-1818, , moved to what is now Christian CO. MO. in 1844, married Rachel Malinda McLean on Jan 7-1849 in Ozark Missouri. Rachel Malinda McLean was the younger sister of my gg grandfather Alexander McLean who married Emily Franklin Young, daughter of Archibald Alexander Young and his wife Margaret Eleanor (or Elender) Moore.. Should this be the James Duncan you are researching, I have a great civil war story and I have pictures of several descendants that I would love to get in the hands of decendants. Am looking at the Cook famil, James Duncan b. 1833 Kentucky and his children, because I think but can't prove that two of his daughters married two of Benjamin Patterson's sons: Mathew Thomas who is identified as Nathan Thomas in the Christian County Marriage records or I think that Nathan may be Mathew and John Albert Patterson.
