Patterson born 7 Mar 1778 in NC, died Feb 27 1851 and is buried in the Patterson Cemetery, Wilson Township, Greene County/James River valley, Thomas married ca. 1814 or 1815 in NC to Jane Gates. Reportedly he is the son of Samuel Patterson II and Martha Ramsey. Thomas's older brother Andrew Patterson who married Jane Shaw was the father of your William Hamilton Patterson. My focus has been on Thomas and Jane Gates children.
