Hi Kerry, Those were only a few of the common names that I have seen on the Christian County mailing list, as well as in AR. I was told that a lot of the folks in AR traveled to Springfield in early days to do major business as it was the biggest town close enough to get to. Having had my father's family settled in Izard County, AR from around 1814 on, and having had him live there or in nearby counties all his life, when I began to visit him (I was raised by my mother on the west coast and did not see him from around 3 or 4 until I was 27), I began to realize that Christian County and Izard County were not very far apart! A few years back, I made my first trip to Nixa, MO and fell in love with the area. It's beautiful! I made the trip from Batesville, Independence County, to Nixa in just a few hours. So, I can see that it was probably not too far fetched to think that a number of these people were related. I have a feeling that some of my people moved out of AR to MO, because of Civil War disagreements. I know that history says a lot of people were killed or bushwhacked by some pretty rough people who had very hard feelings on either side in those days. Speaking of KELTNERS, one of my BLEDSOES married one of them,as well! :) Descendants of Hale Franklin Bledsoe 1 Hale Franklin Bledsoe b: 1851 in Crooked Creek, Carroll Co.
