Moved to Greene Co. in the early 1900's. Don't know who his father was, but his mother was Florence Farthing.
This was my great, great, great, grandparents family John, I find interesting died in California, and they have a date, on a tombstone, in Indiana. For a long time, I heard, that he went west in the Gold rush, and never returned, and left grandma with these children to raise, but I don't find him on any census. James Benton (AKA Jim or J.B.) moved to stone County, and was buried there. (2) Margaret Ann, born 26 January, 1836 married 14 November 1855 to Francis (F.H.) Gannon (Big Frank Gannon) died 17 September, 1880 buried @ 6 Mile (Spencer Township, Jennings County, Indiana.
