I'm sorry it's taken me a while to respond, this is a big family. My g-grandmother was Minnie Lee Maples (1881-1957) who was the daughter of William Thomas (1845-1917) and Martha Ann (Stewart) Maples. William was the son of Ephriam W. (1814-1878) and Nancy Ann (Breeden) Maples. Ephriam was the son of Josiah (1782-1855) and Mary Ann (Dyer) Maples. Josiah was the son of Josiah Joseph (1746-1820) and Ruthea (Sweeney) Maples. Josiah Joseph was the son of William (1727-1821) and Prudence (Comstock) Maples. William was the son of Stephen (abt 1695-1775) and Patience (Fargo) Maples. Stephen was the son of Peter Mahpoil (abt 1675) from France. The Cavener's connection is through Winifred (Gold) Cavener who married Timothy Cavener (1824-1864) who was the son of Patrick (1804-1831) and Keziah (Tucker) Cavener and also through Thomas Gold, Winifred's brother who married Mary Jane Cavener (1819-1877) who was Timothy's sister. William Patrick Cavener (1831-1913) married Rachel Minerva Gold who was the sister of Winifred and Thomas. They were siblings of my ggg-grandfather William C. Gold (1827-1910) who was the father of my gg-grandmother Mary Ann Gold who married my gg-grandfather Hugh T. Jackson son of William Andrew and Catherine (Boyd) Jackson. Hugh was the father of William A. Jackson who married Minnie Lee Maples. These families are so interconnected it's funny and a lot confusing. I hope this helps some. Caroline; you are right about the big family. I was hoping the connection was a little closer to home. Oh well I just met another part of the family. My Grandmother was Minnie Selina Ellen Maples and her fathers name was Simon Curtis Maples who married Rhoda Webb and his father's name was Thomas A Maples who second marriage was to Frances Gray Cavaner I am however still looking for where Thomas A. Maples is buried at and where Rhoda and Simon Maples are buried at and of course where Frances Cavener Maples is buried at. That is where I am stuck at. Any help with that would be great. But the reward is I have another name I can add to my Maples family tree. Thanks for responding. I appreciate it Roberta Maple --------------------------------- Yahoo!
