    1. McLean Cemetery (with Youngs)
    2. I am looking for anyone interested in helping to restore and preserve the McLean Cemetery located southwest of Ozark. The cemetery fences had been totally breached, first by falling trees then by the local farmers cattle. All the tombstones are laying on the ground. My family (daughters, sons-in-laws and grandchildren) have gotten all the trees sawed down and the ground sprayed last fall. There is still some brush piles to be burned hopefully with in the next week or so. Remaining is the job of buying and rebuilding a cattle proof fence as the cemetery lies in the middle of a farm field. Once the perimeter is secured, the stones need to be reset. (Any idea for volunteer resetting of the stones?) Since I live in Florida, the next big job is to find some local volunteers to keep the brush sprayed so tree do not grow and again cause fence damage. Alexander McLean and his wife Emily Franklin Young McLean are buried here. This cemetery should be of interest to many local natives as it is also the burial site of Archibald Alexander Young 12-Jul-1793 to 20-Oct-1848 and Margaret Eleanor (or Elender) Moore. Other names in the cemetery are T. L. Haworth, Ruthie E Horn, Samuel Tennis - Civil War Vet, Fannie Tennis, Mary Ellen, wife of J M Young, John Yarbrough, Polann Yarbrough, and Lucinda C Blevins. 3. I have no one in this cemetery. BUT....I want to thank you for caring enough to get all this done from such a long distance. You and your family need to be commended for caring. I will send you a small but hopefully, helpful check. People like you and your family are rare and need to be thanked in any way possible. Some of my families lie in unkept, badly damaged cemeteries and I, too, am far away and wonder what I can do. You have given me encouragement. Ira Sharp Dennis in Amarillo, Texas
