    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZMB.2ACI/1873 Message Board Post: This is a little late. Since there are so many people who lived at one time in Newton County, Arkansas and another time in Christian County, Missouri, I thought some people who had relatives who moved back and forth and who had not seen this announcement might be interested. Some of the surnames which come immediately to mind of those moving back and forth include Jones, Harp, Davis, McCoy, Keeton, Cecil, and Bolin - but there are many more. The Newton County Historical Society is preparing to reprint the book "History of Newton County" by Walter F. Lackey copyright 1950, by permission of the copyright holder. This will have the exact text of the 1950 version but is fully indexed, where the original was not. At least 50 copies need to be pre sold to pay for cost of printing. To order: send a check or money order for $29.95 per book to Newton County Historical Society, PO Box 360, Jasper, AR 72641. Orders need to be received by Dec. 10. Price includes tax and shipping. This would make a nice Christmas gift. If the book isn't ready by Christmas, we would be happy to send a gift certificate to the person the book is to be given to. The Newton County Family History Vol. 2 is also on sale until Dec 31. The cost of it is $36.95 tax and postage included. Also makes a very nice gift for a loved one.
