Dan, Thanks for responding. One of my dreams is to support the work done by Brenda and company, recording Christian County Cemeteries, by "rehabilating them. Currently I am part of the State of Iowa Historic Preservation Office--so this is my game so to speak. There are a number of grants out there that could be used for this purpose. Was in Springfield this fall attending the Missouri Historic Preservation Conference, great meeting, saw lots of old friends and meet members of the Springfield, Greene County, and Ozark Historic Preservation Commissions--again good folks on all. Know a stone mason in Kansas City who could provide the needed expertise. Looking forward to moving ahead with the project if there is local interest and support and of course if those responsible for the cemeteries agree. Have you thought of involving the Boy Scouts?
