Several Woods families in Christian County appear to be unrelated to each other. No one submitted a story on any of them for the last book. Your location mentioned might be that the family of Boyd Montgomery Woods 17 Jul 1828 - 12 Dec 1863 and his wife Elizabeth (McDaniel) Woods 25 Dec 1830 - 19 Jun 1899. Among the better known famiily members are Shrilda Jane (Bostic) Woods 5 May 1890 - 5 Feb 1996 and her son who founded the Woods Supermarkets. Shrilda was married to Chester Elmer Woods 2 Jan 1885 - 4 Aug 1969, son of Franz Siegle "Siggie & Sarah (Ruffin) Woods. Siggie was a son of Boyd & ELizabeth. Several generations of that family are buried at Pembina Cemetery, just south of the Greene County line. Boyd is believed by some to be the son of John and Dollie Woods of Polk County, Tennessee. I just started on them a few days ago so don't know much other than what I have found in the census. I guess they lived on the line between Christian and Greene counties. Would love to learn more on them. > Thanks > Connie > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Shopping > Find Great Deals on Holiday Gifts at Yahoo! I use to work for Woods supermarket when we lived in Sedalia Missouri and got to know them ok. I told her one day we were probably related, now with your help I know how :-) I will have to see if I can get in touch with her again. I worked there for 3 years and had to quit because of cancer, then we moved a few years ago but we still go to Columbia ever 6 months for my checkups. How funny!
