    3. Is Reta Spickard still on this list? She replied to a message I'd posted to the DYE list which was gatewayed to this list about 1 1/2 years ago, but I didn't know about it until today. I'd like to contact her, but her e-mail address isn't good. I'm seeking information on the DYE family. John (b. 1823) and William M. DYE (b. 1820) were brothers from KY and moved to Linn Twp. in Taney Co. (later Christian) before 1850. John was my g-g-grandfather, and I have information on John and William's families, but I'm trying to find their parents or other siblings. I've heard they had a brother who may have gone to Arkansas. John also ended up in Arkansas in the 1860's, but we don't know where in AR. He was married three times. First wife's name unknown (initial "E"), second & third wives were sisters, Louisa and Martha REDMAN. John and E's son, George W. DYE (my g-grandfather), married Alabama STEPHENS in Christian Co. in May 1870. It appears George's sister, Catharine, married George R. GARRISON in Christian Co. that same year. Can't find anything on the STEPHENS family anywhere or the Dyes in the 1870 census other than William Dye's widow, Keziah, who was still in Linn Twp. Alabama STEPHENS was said to have been full-blood Choctaw Indian and born in TN in 1849. John and the REDMAN sisters had a total of five children: Bartholomew (1862-MO), Mary Frances (1863-AR), Eliza J. (1869-AR), Sarah E. (1871-AR), and Caladonia (1873-AR). Martha REDMAN was a widow in Lawrence Co., AR in 1880, so John died between 1872 and 1880, supposedly in AR. Haven't been able to find anything on any of these kids other than a probable marriage for Mary Frances to James H. HOLDER in Lawrence Co., AR in 1880. Any help would be appreciated. Will gladly share what I have on these families. Dale
