Thought to be siblings, born ca. 1800-1814, in TN, Ky, VA, NC area. By 1850s, Jacob Hartley and children of Jane and Elizabeth are living in close proximity in present Greene, Christian, and Stone Counties Missouri Additional Information about them: Jacob Hartley b. 1814 in Hawkins Co. Tn, or Ky, Va., NC; died 1854 in Christian Co. Mo. Came to Missouri as a young single man in 1830's, married Belinda Patterson in Greene Co. in 1837. Jacob is buried in the Patterson Cemetery. Children of Jacob and Belinda were: Samuel Patterson(never married killed in Civil War); Thomas William married Polina/Palina Berry; Sarah Jane "Jennie" married George Ray; Mary Anne married Jesse Black (his second wife, his first wife was Julia Patterson daughter of Albert G. and Mary Payne Patterson), Martha Arminta married Hiram Leach; George Jacob married Elizabeth Leach (younger sister of Hiram), Jane Hartley b. ca.1800, married Archibald Payne , couple enumerated in Carroll Co TN 1830, move to Greene (now Christian Co) Missouri ca. 1835. Jane Hartley Payne is buried in the Payne Cemetery. Children of Jane and Archibald were Mary (married Albert Patterson), Thirza married James Brazeale, Lewis married Margaret McCroskey, Nancy married John D. Croskey, Martha Jane Payne m James W. Roberson, Jane Payne m John Inman , Abraham marries a Margaret, and Sarah A. marries John Aven. Elizabeth Hartley b. ca.1802, married John Payne (brother of Archibald). They lived in Tennessee ( Bedford co. 1820, White Co. 1830). Several of their children appear in Greene, the Stone Counties Mo between 1840 and 1850, e.g. James, William, and John Jr.(possibly the John Payne who was indentured to Jacob Hartley) Any clues or solid information about their parents, other siblings, etc. would be appreciated.
