You can view the variety of spellings under which John's personal property tax records appeared at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moccl/Ppt/Ppt_Pf-Po.pdf John's family were in household 82 of South Polk Township on the 1900 census with a "creative" spelling of Peskullor: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moccl/census/1900/1900_S_Polk.pdf By 1910, in Polk Township Household 123 the census taker decided to give Peschola a try: http://www.rootsweb.com/~moccl/census/1910/1910_Polk.pdf There's this tombstone in St. Joseph Cemetery: JOHN, FATHER PISKULA 1871 - 1919 St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery These were the only two marriage records I saw in Christian County: Agnes Piscoula - Herman Schmidt 7 Nov 1892 05/113 John rev father John Piskella - Francis Havera Rugnicke (f) 11 Jun 1882 03/046 Hynes Andrew pastor I don't know whether the rest of the family left Missouri before they died, simply didn't have death certificates or had them under some spelling I haven't considered, but I don't find any Missouri death certificate for this surname in the new 1910 - 1955 listings.
