The Cherokee Archiveal Project 601 W. 20th Street South Claremore, Ok. 74019 and another place that I have found some info. was at the Oklahoma Historical Society 2100 North Lincoln Blvd. Oklahoma City, Ok. 73105-4997. I too am in search of any desendents of the DeWitt/Wilkerson or the DeWitt/Clevenger...we too have been told that there was a gggGrandmother of Cherokee blood and she snuck off the Trail of Tears and was a Medicine Woman.
