You can request a copy of 1923-1955 certificates. The overwhelming response makes the back-log for $1 copies from Archives stff about twelve weeks at latest report, but Friends of the Archives are volunteering to copy some at a quicker response rate for $5. If you are seeking a certificate for a death after 1955, you still need to prove kinship and request a search either from the Department of Health and Senior Services at: http://www.dhss.mo.gov/BirthAndDeathRecords/ for $13 for the first copy and $10 for addiitonal copies of the same record or a transcript at any county health Marriage license records are maintained by the County Recorder and may be researched in whatever county issued the license - often a different county than the one where the couple resided or were married. A statewide search for marriage or divorce, with results if any reported in a computer record, may be requested for $15 from http://www.dhss.mo.gov/BirthAndDeathRecords/Statement.pdf
