John Wesley BENNETT, b 21 Feb 1829 TN; d 23 Oct 1900 Christian Co MO; bur Lindsey Chapel Cem, Greene Co MO. This man was not in Greene Co MO in the 1850 census. First known record in MO is when he married 14 Dec 1854 in Greene Co MO to Sarah Elizabeth MOORE. They lived in the Delaware Bridge area. I have a tremendous amount of info on her for several generations back, but cannot get a handle on where he was born and lived in TN. I cannot seem to tie him to any of the other BENNETTs in Greene Co MO in 1850. Bottom line is, I am stuck exactly where I was when I started searching for him 34 years ago. John Edward in Payne Cem; Tishia in Frazier Cem; Cordelia in Lindsey Chapel; William in Tehama Co CA; and James Martin in Wade Chapel, Greene Co MO. Does anyone have a family that moved to Christian Co from TN between 1850-1854 that might have let him tag along with them? If so, what county in TN? Thanks a lot.
