Thomas M Casebolt, Mathew Duff McCroskey, Elijah Sanders, and numbered among the early ministers in the Greene-Christian-Stone-Taney county area during the 1830-1860 period. They married many, identifying themselves as Ministers of God. Schultz in his History of the North Ozarks, may not have gotten the title right, includes Thomas Casebolt in a footnoted list of circuit riders. However, the the Church/denominational affiliations of these men are unclear. Have checked Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Cumberland Presbyterian records that are available on line and found nothing. Does any one know the church/demoninational affiliations of any of these men? Or, can you point me in the direction of good sources: libraries, archives, etc. Am just about to retire so will be able to travel and do the research, yeah! Thanks in advance for your ideas and suggestions. This list is filled with neat folks and I am proud to be part of it.
