My husband is a dispatcher for Christian County 911 and a Police Officer in Rogersville. He got called into work at Christian County last night for a few hours. I don't think there was any debris on the square in Ozark. He also checked in with the Webster County Sheriff's Dept about damage in Rogersville but he was told there wasn't any. --- lulu2002 <[email protected]> wrote: > Lake of the Ozarks-3 fatalities confirmed, > possibly 6. I see. I don't know that forms for various Missouri State censuses are on-line. Most state censuses dealt with just a few counties. However, since they are property of the Missouri State Archives, they would probably know: http://www.sos.state.mo.us/archives/ Rolls of microfilm can be purchased for $15 each. The 1876 State Census of Christian County is number C1666. http://www.sos.state.mo.us/archives/resources/county/christian.pdf

I don't understand the question. This is the only state census which was made of Christian County. It was made for just a few counties. This is the first time it's been digitized. Are you asking what the fields are the census when you ask for a "blank copy"? If so, they are just: name (usually surnames & initials); township; a fill-in-the-blank place to check gender, race, and an age span; and last whether they can read and write. I assume, since it was an agricultural census, that there were the usual livestock and crop questions, but all that has been microfilmed is this population portion. If the agricultural portion has survived, it isn't available for use. If instead of asking what blanks were on the form, you are interested in seeing a microfiilm, the Missouri State Archives has a copy. For the person who is having trouble with their Abobe Acrobat, I could e-mail the entries they wanted if they sent a surname (unless it's lots of surnames). Hi All, I wouldn't normally report, but since there hasn't been any details about Clever on the news, I went out to see. A swath of the tornado hit just south of 14 on highway P going between Clever and Republic near Stokely Horse Farm (Ranch?)(Starting at the intersection of Wise Hill Rd and Hwy P.) There are several houses that were hit. Continuing eastward it hit Blount Farms off of ZZ near Terrell Creek. Heresay says that the woman in Clever who died was a Little who lived near Stokely Farm. Patti
Lake of the Ozarks-3 fatalities confirmed, possibly 6. Last night the scanner said that there were several missing mobile homes. South of Camdenton. Quite a bit of damage in Camden County and Miller county. We had a tree across the road. A utility bill from Stockton turned up this morning in Osage Beach. We had debris at our house. Does anyone know about damage in downtown Ozark? What about Rogersville? Cassie

I have three first cousins in Christian County. I talked to the one in Ozark this morning and they are okay. Haven't been able to get ahold of the one in Bruner or near Nixa yet, but it sounds like from reading on the list they are probably okay. My cousin in Ozark hadn't heard from them yet today. I wouldn't have even known about the tornadoes there yet, except for the MOCHRIST list. I live up near Chicago. Praying for you all there.Mary Spurgeon Brenda Gardner <[email protected]> wrote:Thanks for your thoughts everybody. Here in Greene and Christian Counties we certainly need them. Dear Missouri Cousins, I was really saddened to see all the destruction that occured over the week-end in MO and KS. I pray that you and yours are well. Pierce City is where my maternal grandparents are buried, and I still have lots of extended family in MO, so my heart has roots there with you! God Bless, Jean Mayfield Cuevas

In Nixa on the east side (by McCauley Park). No damage. Mom three miles to the west off Hwy 14 and then north said she and dad watch four tornadoes drop from clouds, but no touch down. Drove to Springfield on Repubic Rd and saw little damage. Prayers to the people of Stockton and Perice City. Becky Haworth Schimek
Cassie I live in Nixa. We live next to HWY. 14 and N. Gregg. We saw a form that didn't touch down here where I am but we hear one did not far from us around the Meeks area. it was very scary. one lady in clever, MO was killed. they said too that Stockton, MO went through a total of 3 hard storms and tore the town up pretty bad but no one was killed from what they know. the town of battlefield, MO which is west of HWY. 60 (James River) got tore up too. both towns are experiencing the smell of gas. sounds pretty bad. it was so scary to my 8 yr. old that when he went to go down stairs, he was trying to hurry and fell down the stairs. that scared me worse because i was afraid he got hurt but luckily, he didn't. but that's from my words. others may have experienced something worse. i don't know. their saying tomorrow will reveal the exact damages done. i hate to find out. but my prayers are with everyone.
At this point, at 11:30 PM, preliminary reports are 1 fatality near Clever, 1 near Battlefield (Greene Co) and up to a dozen in neighboring Lawrence county. Myself, I watched 4 funnel's drop over the city of Nixa, but none that touched down inside the limits, one of which did continue on to do some damage in the Fremont Hills area ( near the Campbell City area) I will allow requests/answers for the effect of checking on relatives/friends for this.
