Thank you, Glennis Do you have documentation for John Cave, Jr's parents and siblings. I've seen reports that place him as the s/o John Cave, Sr & (possibly Frances Snow); siblings shown to be: Sarah, Anna, Charlotte, Lucy and Thomas. I have the Cave line in Greene/Christian Co., if you need help with it. Glennis
Rena, Melodee and list I have Ora K. Garrison (1894 - 1982) married, Sept 1910, to Guy Aldric Mitchell (1888 - 1981); both buried in Bethel Cemetery - Taney co, MO. Also, Sarah Garrison married to Edmond Hodges, these are the parents of Meshack (or Meshard) Hodges (1853 - 1940) who married Eliza Francis Mitchell (1858 - 1938)(Aunt of Guy Aldric Mitchell); Guy Aldric Mitchell is also a 1st cousin, 1 time removed to Isaiah Grant Caves. I also have William Garrison, wife Mary, both died abt 1876, near Ozark, MO; Wm and Mary are the parents of Sarah Garrison who married Joseph Weaver. I'm looking for connections or additional information on any of these families. Hi Elaine- I was contacted by the historian of the Felton Family Association. The Thomas Felton/Polly Glover line was a lost one and it connected two disparate lines they had been trying to connect. She came across my reference to them on the James Family website (Aneas Wisner, my ancestor, married Willliam Felton). If you don't mind I will forward your email on to her. Thanks. The messages posted on the Rootsweb query boards are automatically sent to the mailing list. This is a setting mailing list administrators can select. Unfortunately messages posted on the query board are not sent to the administrator first for approval before they are posted to "the world." This message was posted to A LOT of message boards, at least a number of them in Missouri. I saw it on at least 3-5 others in Missouri. I have not seen it on my message board in Iowa but I've seen others similar. There is no way this could have been stopped the way the Rootsweb query boards work. If you want someone to blame, blame the original poster of the message!! --- Jerry Edwards <[email protected]> wrote: > I am outraged that this message would be sent to > this list! To all, I'm sorry that the original message made it to the public. First off, this was posted originally to the Message Boards, which in turn, directs it automatically to the list, hence.. there is no control over it. >>>>> > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZMB.2ACI/1684<<<<<< Second, if there is any complaints, they should be directed to me, OFF the list please... [email protected] I appreciate and undestand your frustrations, but it just adds up to the overall list frustration. Also, why would you wait and bring it back up 2 1/2 weeks after the fact? You've just doubled their target audience. Third, it has been deleted from the Message boards, by the board administrator. Fourth, if someone/thing does break through direct to the list, the list administrators have no control over stopping it either. When they do get through, its because it slips by Rootsweb spam detectors, all that I can do, is ban the email, AFTER the incident.
