Hi Kay, since I live in Nebraska, I can't attend. However, would you spread the word of my hunt for "Uncle Alvis":. Last name should be Martin but he was raised by a step father and may have taken that name, which I don't know. He died of "getting over heated in his field", was a "fine figure of a man, weighing 200 pounds" had "gone to California in the gold Rush" and was said to have died in Cedar County. Perhaps someone may recognize the man. He was also born in Tennessee to the best of my knowledge.
