He was orphaned young and went to live with relatives and then went to work for the Marsh family and had found a home. He said his father was Ferguson McDoanld Jones and his mother was Caroline Smith and his death certificate, which was badly mispelled, said his father was born in PA?? I was hoping to hook up with the james B. Jones family but just don't know. he had an Uncle Thomas Jones who had daughters Nora and Zelma. I think he had an Uncle Samuel that married a Rhoda A. Moldian but I think they were from a first wife of Ferguson. I believe that John William had a brother named Henry that married charity Eva palmer. I think Ferguson was married forst to Mary Stockton. Does any of this make sense. My father was Carl McDonald Jones and there was Essie and Eva and Doy and Elmer as his brothers and sisters.
