Marriage, birth and death dates, hopefully? I'm thinking our Hopkins are probably related, but I can't trace very far back on the Hopkins line. My great-great-grandmother Mary Ann Hopkins married Henry Hubbard. Her mother's maiden name was Kennedy. She had married a Hopkins and had four children (including my g-g-grandmother) and after Hopkins died she married a man with the last name Surrat, or Surret; it's hard to read it on the census report.
