    3. In reference to the list of items and their prices, carpet warp was used in making one's own carpet. The warp was somewhat like a wide woven canvas where you could take and weave old scraps or rages through the warp of the canvas. Old pieces of woold were cut and looped tightly through the warp, creating a homemade rug and often designs were worked through the carpet. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kay Snow" <kgsno@alltel.net> To: <mocedar@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 05, 2007 7:43 PM Subject: [MOCEDAR] Excerpts from Dec. 1906 > Excerpts from Dec. 1906 issues of the Cedar County Republican > > Local and personal: > Hugh Gothard has opened a cash produce house on East Street opposite the > Tennessee House. > > Don't forget to pay your city taxes. > > Quite a number of turkeys were driven through town last Saturday.
